What are hydrosols?
Hydrosols provide a gentle way to cleanse the skin, restore moisture, soothe inflammation, balance oils while receiving all the many benefits plants have to offer. Hydrosols are floral waters that hold the constituents of the plant, the oils and water soluble components that are easily absorbed by our skin.
Hydrosols are a beautiful way to incorporate the healing benefits of plants in your skin care routine giving you a dewey glow with every mist.

How we make the hydrosols
Hydrosols are the floral waters after the process of steam distillation in a copper still. Steam distillation is the same process for making essential oils but instead of discarding the waters as a by product of essential oils, we have bottled them up along with the small amount of essential oils extracted from the plant. Hydrosols are a safe way to utilize all of the plant’s constituents without the fear that comes from using essential oils, which can sometimes be too strong for topical applications.
Our hydrosols are all made with fresh herbs grown here at the farm with organic growing practices. They are distilled onsite in a copper still and lovingly bottled up to share.
I invested in a still for our family care & it's been truly beneficial to restore the moisture to our skin. We go through 2oz a week so I wanted to bottle our hydrosols in 4oz bottles, to last about a month. You can keep it in the refrigerator for a cool mist on summer days, but I tend to have a bottle by our bedside & one in the bathroom for consistent misting throughout the day to hydrate and restore.
